Welcome to Rhubarb & Ginger Catering.
We are Shaune and Laura Allum and simply put…. we love food!
We are both qualified professional chefs that love to cook and have a combined 40 years experience in the catering trade; from Michelin starred restaurants to the good old English pub.
At Rhubarb & Ginger we don’t employ chefs – we are the chefs!
We are proud to be different from the rest; having unique menus for all occasions.
We are constantly working on new ideas and recipes; we have a selection of exclusive Rhubarb & Ginger specialities.
Our passion for fabulous food has lead us all over the world exploring new flavours and wonderful experiences; from eating BBQ lobsters on children’s furniture on a motor way in Vietnam to munching emu pie in Australia to sipping French onion soup overlooking the Eiffel tower – there’s nothing like travel to broaden your knowledge of food and having firsthand knowledge of authentic dishes is invaluable.
These experiences are captured in our food and we are totally devoted to producing fantastic food that puts a smile on your face.

We pride ourselves in using only the finest, freshest ingredients from our local suppliers and we are a great believer in supporting local!
We offer a friendly and professional service using a personable approach with flexibility. We understand that every event is personal, so we like to focus on understanding our clients in order to deliver a truly unique experience that is tailored to you.

Whatever your occasion, be it a special occasion, a wedding, a big birthday, or just that evening with family and friends you’ve been meaning to do for months, we are there for you.
Our catering service takes into account all the factors that you consider when planning your party. That means: the budget (big or small), the size, the setting, and what you want to achieve with your special get-together. We have a huge diversity of food presentations, including canapés, bowl food, afternoon tea and paella, so there is plenty to choose from.
Rhubarb & Ginger can also provide friendly and efficient staff who arrive with a smile and a great attitude.
We are happy to bring our ideas to your home and put a face to our business. For large events we would also love to arrange a tasting and a site visit to go over the plan of action.
We will be with you every step of the way – from the very beginning to the end of your event.We are centrally based near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire offering our service through the Home Counties.
